First-day baby bombshell! Discovering she's pregnant—with twins!—is not how midwife Lucy Palmer imagined her first day in her new job. Worse is that it took her gorgeous new colleague Nikolai Kefes to suggest a pregnancy test and scan. As they watch those tiny heartbeats on the monitor, Lucy knows instantly that her two little babies are the only things she can focus on. And that her highly inconvenient attraction to the hunky Greek obstetrician—with his legendary reputation for short, sweet, emotionally unavailable relationships—definitely has to be ignored…!

In this updated edition, the chapter on courtship has new stories and insights that reflect the experiences of the now-married Duggar daughters and how they lived out the principles of courtship all the way to the altar. Airing weekly throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand, TLC's 19 Kids and Counting has made the huge Duggar family into a media phenomenon. The Duggar children are frequently asked, "Tell the truth; do you really agree with the lifestyle your parents have created for you?" Now, the four eldest Duggar girls-Jana, Jill, Jessa, and Jinger-open up about the blessings and advantages of living the Duggar lifestyle. With a backdrop of the key relationships in their lives-relationship with self, parents, siblings, friends, boys, and God-the four Duggar girls also open up about their own personal faith and convictions, boys, dating, peer pressure, manners, living in a large family, politics, and much more. You'll learn how the family navigates the difficult years between twelve and sixteen and what the girls look for in a man, all in a frank and fun book that will inspire teens and adults alike. Including light-hearted stories about the younger kids' antics, Growing Up Duggar is a wise and entertaining trip into a family like no other.

Presentation “The Girls from Afghanistan” tells of the meeting between a rug dealer and Azar, an Afghan girl from Herat, during the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan in the nineteen eighties. Hossein, the dealer, returns to his country of origin to visit relatives and buy rugs to sell in Italy, the country he has resided in since the sixties. On his arrival he discovers that rugs are for sale with completely new motifs. He is curious about the descriptions and seeks out these rugs. His inquiries take him to Dogharon, the Iranian refugee camp on the Afghan border, where hundreds of Afghans are sheltering after the Russian invasion. At the camp he meets Arash, the head of the Afghan clan Kuroshi, from Do-Ab, his young daughter Azar and other girls: the youthful Neda, the weaver Ozra, who will tell the incredible story of Najibe, an eleven-year-old child who was taken from the presidential palace and thrown into prison. He will purchase ‘talking rugs’ from Azar and Ozra, woven with symbols that tell a painful story – their own and that of the Afghan people. The painstaking translation into English by Katherine Margaret Clifton of the second edition of ‘The Girls from Afghanistan’ has been enriched with maps, photographs and an updated historical timeline. There are also three important final chapters: a glossary of the Persian terminology (Farsi Dari) used in the book; a timeline of important historical events in Iran and Afghanistan from 1499 to 2015 and ‘a conversation with the author, Hossein Fayaz’. About the Author Hossein Fayaz Torshizi was born in Iran (1943, Kashmar). Since November 1967 he has lived in Italy for study, and has been an Italian citizen from year 1981.
