A miracle is an event not explicable by natural or scientific laws. Such an event may be attributed to a supernatural being, a deity, a god, or a powerful cosmic force. Informally, the word "miracle" is often used to characterize any beneficial event that is statistically unlikely but not contrary to the laws of nature, such as surviving a natural disaster, or simply a "wonderful" occurrence, regardless of likelihood, such as a birth. Other such miracles might be: survival of an illness diagnosed as terminal, escaping a life-threatening situation or 'beating the odds'. Some coincidences may be seen as miracles. God regularly works through created nature yet is free to work without, above, or against it as well. A true miracle would, by definition, be a non-natural phenomenon, leading many rational and scientific thinkers to dismiss them as physically impossible (that is, requiring violation of established laws of physics within their domain of validity) or impossible to confirm by their nature (because all possible physical mechanisms can never be ruled out). Miracles of The Masters is a chronicle of a small number of the miracles connected to The Avatars Master Mitchell Gibson, and Acharya Kathy Gibson. Respectively, they are Avatars of Athens God Djanthi Thoth and The Goddess Maat. Together, they have been part of hundreds of miracles. Many of these miracles are listed in this book and are reminiscent of the power shown by the ancient masters. As you read these words, you will witness the work of modern masters who work among us today.

Published on the occasion of the show '8 Bengal Masters: Miracles of Existence', this volume explores the post-Colonial context of Bengal that produced some of the finest artists of all times. Focusing on eight eminent artists, from various practices of print-making, sculpture and painting, it traces how they embarked on individual artistic journeys fostered by a renewed modernist search for an appropriate style in tandem with their responses to the contemporary situation. The eight artists showcased here redefined the quest for a personal idiom not as a mere stylistic search but as the intimate and mutually transforming dialogue between individual and the world - both social and natural. From this perspective, this book takes a fresh look at the works of these artists as some of the best examples of the socially-relevant, liberating aesthetics of the post-'40s modern Indian art. Published in association with Akar Prakar. Contents: Foreword; Curatorial Note by Sylvie de Galleani, Curator of departmental museums; Curatorial Note: Miracles of Existence by Soumik Nandy Majumdar ARTISTS - Paritosh Sen; Somnath Hore; Meera Mukherjee; Sarbari Roy Choudhury; Sanat Kar; Ganesh Haloi; Ganesh Pyne; Jogen Chowdhury."

What accounts for miraculous healings unexplainable by doctors? Is there a reality to spiritual healings? William Gladstone, who had studied medical anthropology at Harvard, and met and worked with many great spiritual leaders, initially approached Dr. Zhi Gang Sha with some skepticism and disbelief. He believed there was more to life than the material world—but he also knew the world has many dishonest and self-deceiving mystics. So he decided to explore. He spent weeks with Dr. Sha watching him at work, talking to his students, and observing his healings. He interviewed him at length, asking for specifics and addressing difficult questions. He delved into the science behind Dr. Sha’s work and explored the underlying concepts beneath these “miracle” healings. And what he learned amazed him and opened his mind to possibilities he never expected. Dr. Zhi Gang Sha is a medical doctor trained in Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine, as well as ancient Chinese sacred energy and spiritual healing. He has healed hundreds of thousands of individuals, many of which are documented on YouTube. How does he do it? Is it the placebo effect—or something much more profound? Dr. and Master Sha: Miracle Soul Healer recounts the remarkable journey of a world-renowned spiritual teacher and master healer who has not only demonstrated the ability to heal but also to teach people to heal themselves. Written for skeptics as well as believers, it explores the results and methodology of Dr. Sha’s unique life journey and his stated life mission to serve humanity and the Divine and create a healthier and happier world—as well as the ultimate mystery of how faith, science, and healing can change your life.
