Inhaltsangabe:Zusammenfassung: Seit den 90er Jahren des 20. Jh. wird das Themengebiet Change Management in einer Vielzahl von Publikationen behandelt. Auch in der Praxis werden die Unternehmen alltäglich mit diesem Phänomen konfrontiert. Ferner wird in der Managementliteratur die Relevanz der Unternehmenskultur für den Unternehmenserfolg zunehmend betont. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es umso erstaunlicher, dass die Bedeutung der Kultur für den Erfolg bzw. den Misserfolg des Change Managements bisher noch nicht näher beleuchtet worden ist. Mit der vorliegenden Arbeit soll ein Beitrag zu dieser noch wenig erforschten Thematik geleistet werden. Das Ziel besteht darin, den Einfluss der Kultur auf die Realisierung des Change Managements zu untersuchen. Dabei wird der Fokus auf die extern durch die Landeskultur geprägten Dimensionen der Unternehmenskultur gelegt, die nicht durch das Management steuerbar sind, sondern als gegeben hingenommen werden müssen. Infolgedessen wird im ersten Teil nur die Kultur betrachtet. Zunächst werden auf der Basis verschiedener Landeskulturstudien sowie Unternehmenskulturtypologien die Kulturdimensionen ermittelt. Daran anknüpfend wird eine Integration beider Kulturebenen vorgenommen, um das Ausmaß des Einflusses der Landes- auf die Unternehmenskultur zu bestimmen. Die acht herausgearbeiteten Landeskulturdimensionen Individualismus/Kollektivismus, Zeitorientierung, Maskulin-/Femininorientierung, Aktivitäts-/Passivitätsorientierung, Innen-/Außenorientierung, Distanzorientierung, sowie Regelungs- und Kommunikationsorientierung bilden zusammen mit den vier intern geprägten Dimensionen Ergebnis-/Prozessorientierung, Kosten-/Nutzenorientierung, Kunden- und Technologieorientierung die Unternehmenskultur heraus. Diese ist demnach nicht beliebig steuerbar, sondern größtenteils von außen vorgegeben. Im zweiten Teil wird in das Thema Change Management eingeführt. Anschließend werden anhand von zwölf ausgewählten Erfolgsfaktorenmodellen die folgenden acht Erfolgskategorien hergeleitet: Kommunikation, Partizipation der Betroffenen, starke Führungskoalition, Vision & Zielsetzung, Umsetzung & Verstetigung des Wandels, Projektmanagement, Wandlungsfähigkeit und Ressourcenausstattung. Basierend auf den zuvor erarbeiteten Ergebnissen wird abschließend eine Analyse der Auswirkungen der acht extern geprägten Unternehmenskulturdimensionen auf die acht Erfolgskategorien des Change Managements durchgeführt.
